Greetings from Nebraska to all of you!!! We are all looking forward to hosting the joint reunion in Fort Myers, FL. The tropical weather, beautiful sunsets, palm trees, beaches, and fun times await you on September 22-26, 2010 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Estero, FL. This hotel is a beautiful setting for this year’s reunion, priced at $99 per night plus taxes, it is a great value! The room price includes a two-room suite, free parking, free cooked to order breakfast daily, a complimentary 2-hour cocktail, and free transportation to/from the airport and to the wonderful area malls and restaurants. This special rate at the hotel is guaranteed for 7 days, September 20-27. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at (239)949-4222. The room block will be held until September 10,2010. We have great plans for tours -- a luncheon cruise on the Naples Princess. The 1½ hour cruise takes you throughout the bay of Naples and the Gulf of Mexico. The sites are stunning and the boat is a wonderful way to see the sites. The second tour will be to the Edison and Ford Winter Estates located in Fort Myers, FL. This is where these two famous gentlemen spent their winters. The grounds are beautiful and all the buildings have been wonderfully restored and include many of their inventions. This year we have also added a special event to the schedule -- a Friday evening Bar-B-Q on the veranda by the pool complete with all the fixings -- you will not want to miss this one. Saturday will include the Men’s Business Meetings and the Ladies Luncheon. We are even having lunch for the guys in the hospitality room on Saturday, group and individual pictures, the Grand Banquet, and Dance. We know that many of you tend to delay your reservations due to family and possible health issues. In planning for our tours, we would like to know preliminary numbers by August 30th, if at all possible.
This is a great place to bring the entire family--tons of activities including the beautiful beaches of southwest Florida! The airport is 10 minutes from the hotel and the terminals are new and easy to help you with you travel. All major airlines, including Southwest Airlines, fly into the Southwest Florida International Airport at Fort Myers, FL. Once you reach the baggage claim area, call the Embassy Suites, and they will be out to pick you up for no cost -- just tips -- they have three (3) shuttles and they operate 24 hours a day.
